Description |
"118 S Nevada." Photograph of the General Hardware and Implement Company's store front, with ten people standing in front. They are identified on the back, left to right, as: Roy Marner, Bert Hemeway, Ray Andrews, Emelie, Art, Max Stanton, Jesse Parsons, John Sayer, Keith. Written on back, from Art and Emelie Schiager: "Mr. Carmen started the store mainly as an implement dealership. During World War II, and for some time after, farm and ranch implements were not available. We never acquired a dealership and very soon dropped the word ‘implement' from the name. We carried hundreds of items from heavy to light hardware as well as dealerships in Fairbanks Morse pumping equipment, and, for a while, Conde Milking equipment."
