3. 6268 - Cabinet card of David McShane (1830-1907), prominent Pioneer. McShane came to Colorado in 1860, built the first sewers in Colorado Springs, worked on the construction of the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, the Colorado and Southern Railroad, and the Midland Railroad, as well as McShane's Ditch, Lake Morain and Broadmoor Lake. McShane served as a County Commissioner. McShane lived three miles south of Palmer Lake, and at 431 South Cascade Avenue.
